I spent pretty much all day trying to completely restore my AK to factory condition. The whole process took about 7 hours; I disassembled everything and cleaned it. Not just a regular old field strip, I mean everything. This wasn't just an average clean job. I even soaked the entire reciever and trigger group along with the barrel in a tub of degreaser for about a half hour, then immediately cleaned it as one normally would, using gun cleaner and lubricant. I decided to say hell no to stopping there, so I went to Lowe's and picked up some stuff for refinishing all of the furniture. Anyways, I thought I'd share my end result. I think it turned out pretty damn nice. There is not one spec of dirt or carbon buildup on this thing now. Looks, feels, smells and operates like it's fresh out of the box. Let me know what you think
