To make this as close to the original as possible, while concidering its a First person shooter. now. Ive taken the liberty to write down the current unit list. GDI Minigunner Grenader rocket soldier engineer commando Nod minigunner flamethrower rocket soldier engineer commando chemical warrior this is the original list. we will probably add this: GDI Officer (this guy carries a pistol, however his a tactical commander with some special abilities. Technician (i honestly dont agree fully on this one.. but sometimes you gotta bend. Rocket soldier for GDI is because they seemingly should have them in multiplayer. If im wrong, please correct me. Regarding officer and technician. They are descussable. On the forum we also have a section where you can bring your ideas, if you dont know where else to put them With the fusion of RoA and DoN the general pace of the work will hopefully be satisfying. And again i would remark. Please put any previous grudges away. I will solve what i can. I will update this post with some pictures later EDIT: its now later and ill throw in a few pictures. Note that these varies in the time they were created and may not reprisent the final product. They should just give you a general idea of an area of which the mods current quality is. ![]() Images of all the tiberian dawn units but which are replaced by ours. This was quickly made so its pretty much incomplete in some aspects and does not show the current result. Its just to give an idea of it. ![]() This is the light tank. There has been made some changes since this render was done and the skin isnt final. ![]() The buggy. Again its not done. Ill add the gunner although there is a chance it will be a "turret" and not a player for now. ![]() ill have to exuse the current condition it is in and state that its not final. Just slabbed a texture on to give a temperary impression. You should also note that the front is changed and there are some unfinished areas in the model. ![]() The flamethrower will probably work with a "coard" partly attached to the human model in a way so that it concludes at the weapon. Note that this is also unfinished. By jts. ![]() a assult map im working on. The textures are not final... obviously. Also there are some billboards on it, like in some old westwood maps. And welcome to all the new ones. Anyways. Lets get started. First i have a Engineering PowerDrill to show off. This "Gear," is for the Nod engineer. (no it doesn't rime on purpose.. ![]() The "Drill," gives the engineering staff the posibility to repair vehicles. Unlike renegade, you wont see a blue ray of light while repairing, and the range will not be as far either. However. You do not have to stand halfway up in a vehicle to be able to repair it. It will have some range. Next we have a map. One which DarklinkZ is working on. ![]() This is, like a map i am working on, based in a city. Note that this doesn't mean that all our maps are based in citys, they are not lol. We just like to create some variation which is why we are using most oppotunities to create different maps Last. I've started wrtting a bit of a story, based in the tiberian dawn universe. Its related to the mod in the way that i am writing it as an addition to the roa story. I wont go into specifik details on how it is related. But it is. hehe. "I am prepaired.. I will do what I must. I will serve, for a global and united world." Those are the words they preach, and those are the words you have to repeat, when becomming a officer in the army of the Global Defence Initiative. This is also known as GDI, an army put down by the rich countrys to defend their "Intrests" These mostly revolve around making sure the "fanatics" of the brotherhood stays out of the countrys who have formed this alliance. That, and bringing down the tiberium spreading. Tiberium. The green crystalised material which seems to have cursed the very earth. They say its origin is unknown, well thats what they claim. I know though, i know that this plague has come from outer space. Probably carried to this very planet by an astroid. All this propaganda, and all of these lies started by our very own leaders, makes me wonder, am i fighting for the right course? Is GDI really here to protect us from evil. Or is the very evil that we have been fighting, the true source to our salvation? I know it's a pretty long snippit, but it should give you an idea of the overall flow of the text.
